Slow burn a retired NFL QB Sign me up I really enjoyed this book from the premise of opening a distillery to Owen Delia partnering up to their evolving relationship from business partners to friends to lovers These characters and their growth was written so well From Owen s grief to Delia finding her place Together they were a great force Everything about this book was so enjoyable to read Kindle Edition I really wanted to like this but the main character seemed a bit. Pour decisions chicago I am a sucker for small town romances so I had to pick this one up Overall it wasn t a completely bad book.

Amanda Chaperon realized her passion for books and writing at a young age Growing up she was rarely found without a book in her hands a hobby she carried into adulthood and which ultimately gave her the confidence to begin writing her own stories She writes what she loves to read heartfelt passionate characters lots of steam and always a happily ever after. Pour Decisions pdfescape Amanda lives in Michigan with her Golden Retriever Gryffin When she s not writing or reading she can be found hanging out with her niece and nephew or binge watching her favorite TV shows. Pour decisions bar tioga Dare I say this is my new favorite Amanda Chaperon book Owen and Delia are everything to me Owen Lawless is a retired NFL quarterback who now has opened up his own business but is wanting to expand and build a distillery on a piece of land that would require him to go into business with his ex s sister Delia Delatou The younger forbidden sister These two begin working together and it starts out a little rough but the tension starts to fly and it becomes too strong for them to ignore any Owen is a little broken but somehow Delia starts to make his light shine a little brighter as they grow closer This series is so freaking good and this second book did not disappoint Y all absolutely need to read this one Tropes ex s sister retired NFL quarterback X marketing Queen workplace romance age gap Kindle Edition Small town found family I was entertained for most of it BUT it wasn t a really good book either It started out good but it started dragging out in the second half It would benefit from another round of editing mostly for repetitiveness of certain phrases The amount of times I had to read captured my mouth lips in the second half of this book is crazy Can they just kiss like normal people Aside from that problem but continuing with the language used we seriously don t need every look shared between main characters to be described and especially not in metaphors ocean depths ocean in the throes of a hurricane his ocean eyes twinkling I held those whiskey depths with my ocean ones WE GET IT HIS EYES ARE FREAKING BLUE My main gripe with this is the lack of depth in main characters They had traumatic experiences that had a big influence on them and even though they were brought up a few times I still felt like it wasn t emotional enough or significant enough We were so told about their feelings then shown There wasn t actually any character growth With Owen especially his dad died when he was a teenager and now he is 37 year old that has never been to his fathers grave has therapy that does not happen on page and he talks about his brothers sisters and mom and how he misses them but we never witness him call text visit or have any sort of interaction with them He actually lies toward the end about inviting them to the opening of his business and the reader is never given a reason why as he seemingly does not have a reason for doing that When on topic of brothers and sisters both main characters regularly called them big bro little sis and let me tell you as someone with a brother never in my life have I referred to him as little bro. Pour decision making wow Owen also has really cringe tattoos including but not limited to his last name across his whole forearm in big ass letters When it comes to the romantic relationship I wouldn t call it a slow burn per say yes they do get together at around 60% in but they were kind of confessing their feelings for each other way before that I liked that they became friends first and then lovers but the way that they became lovers and how their relationship progressed wasn t believable and it was completely contradictory Owen was waiting for her to come to terms with the possibility of their relationship because he didn t want just a fling he wanted her body mind and soul and then their relationship starts with sex sex that lasts from chapter 25 to chapter 30 might I add They went on one date in which they ended up having sex in the middle of it They would say we should go slow and two pages later the I love yous were exchanged. Pour decisions portland In conclusion the book ultimately fell short The potential for a heartfelt slow burn romance was overshadowed by a rushed relationship development that felt unconvincing While the initial premise and setting were promising the execution left much to be desired If the book undergoes thorough editing and a deeper exploration of character emotions and growth it could become the charming story it aspires to be Kindle Edition 5 Age gap 10 years Slow burn Healing from past pain together Business partners to friends to lovers Sexy retired NFL QB Small town Found familyThe Delatou sisters are back this time with wildcard Delia and her inner chaos demons Her sister Amara who we met in book 1 puts baby sis directly into the path of one broody entrepreneur. Pour decisions abbeville la menu This book was a testament to just how resilience humans can be in the right company with the right one The independence of Lia being the middle child the pressure Owen put on himself as the oldest of 7 the growth of these two throughout the book together into something greater together than apart was perfect. Pour Decisions kindle direct The Dicktionary was a nice touch too Despite being someone who made a life and career out of being cautious I welcomed the recklessness of this moment with open arms With her I wanted to be wild I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review Kindle Edition
