Doona Fun one shot Doom is one of my favorite comic books characters and I have barely read anything with Valeria and yet I liked her character just as much as Doom in this 51 I say this as someone who isn t a big fanboy of Doom I think he s a great villain but not the greatest like many think I m sure this is influenced by the fact I don t like FF and I grew up much of an X Men fan With that said this is an AMAZING one shot well told if simplistic story The art was incredible The whole book was just beautiful The colors by Greene Rachelle Rosenberg perfectly complement the otherworldly space landscape creating a truly immersive experience that sucks you in never lets you go I enjoyed the personality displayed by Valeria and the last thing she said was touching I only took half a point off because as a one shot it really didn t go anywhere and Doom s entire role was basically just rehabbing while Valeria gave a narrated flashback to catch him up to speed The story goes deeper into the relationship between Doom Valeria Richards a complex dynamic that Hickman developed during his previous Fantastic Four run Their dialogue interactions are perfection making them one of the most compelling pairs in Marvel Comics I would 100% read an ongoing Hickman series focused on these two But regardless it was a great book a lot of fun and one of the best looking single issues I ve seen in a while 51 Jonathan Hickman Sanford Greene s one shot is a stunning work of storytelling w artwork that will leave you breathless From the opening pages it s clear that Greene s visuals are going to be something special the cosmic landscapes epic fight sequences grandeur designs for Doom Galactus are simply awe inspiring The colors by Greene Rachelle Rosenberg perfectly complement the otherworldly space landscape creating a truly immersive experience that sucks you in never lets you go. Pdf doorzoeken But this was than just a pretty book The story goes deeper into the relationship between Doom Valeria Richards a complex dynamic that Hickman developed during his previous Fantastic Four run Their dialogue interactions are perfection making them one of the most compelling pairs in Marvel Comics I would 100% read an ongoing Hickman series focused on these two. Doomsday clock While the plot itself may not break new ground the character study is thorough thought provoking It s a book on the scale of something Doom himself would be proud of This is a must read for fans of Doctor Doom Hickman Greene created something truly special I would love to see collaborations between them in the future 51 Fans of Jonathan Hickman s Fantastic Four and Secret Wars runs are well versed in his knack for writing Doctor Doom Marvel s most iconic villain Here he teams up with artist Sanford Greene to deliver a one shot self contained Doom story Greene also is credited with the story so it s very likely that the story is crafted around whatever Greene wanted to draw And in terms of sheer scale Greene really delivers the goods. Doomguy The story is centered around a final showdown between Doom and Galactus with Doom himself seemingly the only hope for existence Opening with a jaw dropping shot of Galactus rampage through the cosmos we come across Doom s battered body floating in space Nursed to health by Valeria Richards the details behind the conflict is laid out in a lengthy flashback The comic is fairly exposition heavy despite it s rather simple narrative but the draw really just is Greene s artwork The colors by Rachelle Rosenberg really stand out here as the panels are packed with vibrancy and energy making the overall comic a visual feast The details in Greene s pencils can be a bit too excessive at times though with some of the action a little difficult to decipher Overall a solid one shot comic with fantastic artwork Doom s narration is fairly garrulous for a story that doesn t really need it but in general you ll get a fun Doom story out of this 51 Controversial opinion I did not like it. Doom patrol Like I followed the story I think but it still seemed like there wasn t a lot of point There was no fluctuation of emotions I really just kept waiting for things to become clear and they never really did. Doom mod Artwork was pretty banging but also too messy for me It just didn t suit my tastes at all Think this one was a little over hyped 51 When Jonathan Hickman writes a non canon Doom story things just bound to get pretty compelling Living on borrowed time The clock ticks fasterStarting off with fascinating lines as above got me off guard for a while Sanford Greene s artwork has rightfully captured the bizarre emptiness of space The plot is not much of a groundbreaking one But Victor coming back from death and the father daughter like conversation with Valeria Richards is so brilliantly put by Hickman We the comic book enthusiasts have always enjoyed the arrogance brilliance and stubbornness of Dr Doom In this one shot giant sized issue we get to know some unknown angles of Victor s philosophy. Doonails The question here is what s at stake here You guessed it right the Universe While all the heroes are finished off by Galactus and after devouring the energy of countless planets the Universal Constant is going for it. Doom kindle Hats off to Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene Comic book readers who are well aware of Marvel Comics stuffs specially Fantastic Four Doom Valeria Galactus and the basic heroes I would highly recommend this issue to you people. Doomx64vk Doom and Galactus should battle in the issue or make this a miniseries 51 Living off borrowed time the clock tick faster 51 Not a bad little What If type tale of Doctor Doom Valeria Richards and HERBIE trying to stop Galactus destroying the universe Also featuring half the Marvel stable of characters in cameos including Howard the Duck in case you were worried he d been left out 51
