The conclusion of She Hulk and Jack of Hearts space epic YOUR heart is not ready for this issue The action will get your heart pumping just in time for us to break it Sensational She Hulk 2023 8I only gave this 4 stars because there wasn t a TON of fighting between Jennifer and Ganymede And I was hoping that Ganymede would stay around a bit longer since she is part of Jack s lore but MAN OH MAN THE L WORD INSERT CRYING EMOJI HERE HOW SWEET 23 You know what I haven t given 5 stars to a comic in a while and this one is going to get the special treatment Because I needed the sense of relief I had when this comic was over. Book Sensational she-hulk attorney I am grateful that the writer managed to invest enough time and attention to the romance between She Hulk and Jack of Hearts that I actually cared about the fate of their relationship And I am grateful that she paid enough attention to continuity that she was able to make appropriate use of the deep cut 90s character Ganymede and she did so in a respectful manner Even though Ganymede narratively serves the role of the other woman she is not talked down to She isn t mocked for her weird aesthetic or for daring to care about Jack They were previously companions who shared some measure of romance and it s not her fault that he hooked up with She Hulk during their long time apart. Book Sensational she-hulk tv Rowell is succeeding in making romantic superhero comics of a thing I was invested I felt better Let s give her props 23 Expected the conflict set up at the end of the last issue to last longer than the brief few pages beginning this issue It always seems like a cheap trick to use the you re fighting for the wrong team card to have the antagonist flip With that said not a lot of action and a pretty casual issue 23 One of my favourite issues of the entire run Its great seeing She Hulk so vulnerable 23 I love this silly little superhero romance book 23
