Magically wildmutt Waif in the Wilds by Lauretta Hignett I loved this story of how Chloe and Dwayne meet When I finished the story I felt like I needed to reread the series as it was so much fun and I miss the world The Song of the Wild by C. Book Magically wilde Thomas Lafollette with the first book in this series that just came out this was a fun short story to add to the world Dax and his new found friends set out to rid the city of a creature that arrived from another realm only to encounter a bigger monster Can t wait to read in this world. Magically wildung implement A McBride Liv is out to revenge a wrong doing that changed her life 10 years ago She s a rare witch trained assassin and headstrong Loved this character from the beginning and hope to read about her and this world Hunting the Guide by Amy Cissell There is than the typical cat to Archibald and this story tells us how he became the First Valkyrie s Guide The second book in the series just came out and I can t wait to read it Magically Wild An Urban Fantasy Anthology This was an overall very solid anthology with stories from both familiar and new authors with somewhat of an interconnected plot featuring the disappearance of magical zoo animals I especially can t wait to read from a few of the new to me authors The Event by Miranda Grant B This is a very quick intro focusing on a supernatural creature zoo called the Kingdom of Tails and Feathers that has suddenly lost all of its animals A Manticore on the Loose by G Clatworthy B I liked this introduction to Agent Jones of the Magical Liaison Office in Wales who assists two rangers of the Kingdom of Tails and Feathers in finding one of the missing beasts a giant manticore Herbs a Flask and Spaghetti Water by Jen B Green B This one starts out slowly but I enjoyed the ending And Teddy the dog was a fun addition Frustrated Justice by Heather G Harris A I ll admit Heather is one of my favorite UF authors and I really enjoyed this story from the perspective of Stacy a level 5 wizard and human Detective Inspector who works for both the Common human and the Connection supernatural police forces She investigates the death of a notorious criminal with the help of an intelligent talking bird I loved how the bird called her a pigdog Ha ha I ll take a whole series based on Stacy please Dharma Alchemy by Becca Wood B I liked this short story featuring a doctor who works on magical beings a half succubus shouldn t he be an incubus a pet sea monster and a naiad birth The Magpie and the Wobegone Wizard by Jilleen Dolbeare C Novice wizard Oliver gains a familiar with the hopes of joining the Guild but discovers his familiar is at the heart of something very big at the Guild The pacing was slower in this story and it ended well but still rather abruptly Waif in the Wilds by Lauretta Hignett B I ve read Chloe s series but never knew the story behind her rescue of Dwayne This story provides that background The Song of the Wild by C. EBook Magically wildwood N Rowan C I sadly didn t connect with the writing or plot Finding Fae Pets by Isa Medina A I love Maddie and this short story about her being hired to retrieve a lost pet in Faerie was very good Sorcery in the Shadows by Rosie Wylor Owen A I really enjoyed this story featuring a magical cat and nineteen year old Beatrix who is trapped in her grandmother s home until her magical talent surfaces I d love to read about this duo in a full length series Alchemy of Revenge by L. Magically Wild kindle unlimited A McBride B It was easy to become immersed in this story of Shadow Olivia who is on assignment in her hometown Death Uncaged by C Thomas Lafollette DNF I just couldn t get into this one Hunting the Guide by DNF I couldn t get into this one either Keys of Promise by Georgiana Kent C It was challenging in a short story to follow several characters and I lost interest The Opening by Miranda Grant C This was a bit of a letdown returning to the zoo which has reacquired most of its missing supernatural animals The story was almost haphazard in its delivery Magically Wild An Urban Fantasy Anthology How can you even begin to review a work of this magnitude Fourteen of the hardest hitting authors in the Urban Fantasy genre got together and said What if a magical menagerie s worth of mythical monsters went missing Where would they end up Who would they encounter What if they portaled into 14 established UF universes A monster manticore a mammoth axolotl a magically enhanced magpie a mystifying shadhavar fae fuzzies of fabulous multifariousness a cosmic cat who could change the course of civilization and a fire starter with an axe to grind are only some of the creatures and characters you ll encounter on this wild wild ride of a collected anthology Magically Wild is a tome s worth of storytelling each short story and novella because honestly these are fully developed stories with characters of depth and action that a reader simply cannot put down The styles of each author stay true to themselves but this does not produce a disjointed reading experience Quite the opposite The varied styles characterizations settings and plots blend together beautifully to create an overarching theme that deserves its own place in the What if verse so prized in the comics world I don t know that I could possibly recommend this anthology enough dear readers It s a delightful and effective introduction both to the Urban Fantasy genre as a whole and 14 of the brightest stars shining in the genre today It s fun the action is packed the rocks are rolling and you won t want to put it down Now if we could just get some audio on this bad boy. Book Magically wildfire For those reading Harris Otherworld series this is a well done cute very short about Stacy and her interactions with the suddenly interested interesting High King Krieg of the Ogres as she works to solve a case. Book Magically wildwood As of 3 26 24 I only read Harris contribution to the anthology but may return to it again Magically Wild An Urban Fantasy Anthology Found one or two authors to check out in full length form Magically Wild An Urban Fantasy Anthology
