A gaping abyss trying to swallow her in one ragged breath My Review Unbelievably captivating The slow insight into paranoia and delusions of a teenage girl or at least what I thought to be delusions The entire story I found myself wondering what was reality and what could be delusions The slow turn of events with the therapist was even convincing if all of it being delusions until it wasn t This was such a surreal and uncomfortable plot to experience I really felt as if my skin was crawling the ENTIRE book I have not read anything from this Author yet but I will absolutely be keeping a lookout as I was hooked from the beginning As someone who has a LONG history of mental health.

She thinks they want revenge It was a captivating and beautifully written thought provoking story which I absolutely loved I highly recommend this incredible book Don t read this book if you have have a fear of insects Voracious Voracious is a story about a young girl name Lila who is 16 and pregnant She has an eating disorder and has an insect phobia This story revolves around mental health as a whole and the trauma Lila endured is heartbreaking When she is failed by her mother and therapist she goes to the church and confesses what she s never been able to about the night her boyfriend went missing Highly recommend this Just a warning there are triggers in this book of sexual assault.

I LOVE a good weird horror and this one is definitely one of them I would classify this book as pretty triggering which is why I chose to pace myself and take plenty of time to read this even if it is a novella Lila our main character is 16 and pregnant suffering with a severe insect phobia and Bulimia She also deals with abuse bullying and SA covered graphically in this book. Voracious pdfescape This book was amazing So scary without being over the top I think it will definitely hit different for a female reader there is a lot of discussion about the experience of being a woman in society and the inescapable horror that comes with it This is not a book with jump scares or moments of extreme horror followed by lulls of plot building but a book that builds and builds until you reach the end and find yourself filled with a sense of dread and the feeling of phantom insects crawling on your skin. Voracious volume 2 TW abuse bullying SADespite being a short novella this book managed to send shivers and leave goosebumps The sheer fear that the main character a pregnant 16 year old girl has for what she believes to be a vengeance sought by bugs insects could be strongly felt As she explores it with a therapist who then in turn begins to succumb to these delusions herself left me also second guessing every faint feeling across my own hands and neck.
