With flatars and a depik loose what could go right wrong Enjoy English There are distinctive disadvantages to starting a series at other than volume 1 It s like wandering into the movie forty minutes after it starts or bowling a frame and then wondering why your friends are talking about a rug that ties the whole room together In this case I regret that I am unable to confidently credit the author who is responsible for inserting Simon Theodore and Alvin into the story as characters they are delightful as deadly Flatar and even if I couldn t stop singing Christmas Don t Be Late during much of the book I really enjoyed what Olthoff did with them. Book companions in chainsaw man Bree also known as Ducky and Squishy is a shuttle pilot searching for Rebel a lost comrade Earlier in the story she was given reliable information that despite Rebel s craft being utterly destroyed Rebel somehow lived Bree now has as her main goal to find Rebel and rescue her from whatever fate has brought her To do that she is willing to lie cheat and steal these are fortunately all within her repertoire Even fortunately she has won the devotion of various crew members who manage to persuade her to allow them to help. Companions in chains book series On the less fortunate side Squishy Ducky is an absolute loss when it comes to romance What MOST sixth graders figure out she has not a clue about So the teasing which forms an immature basis for a relationship has to escalate to mild physical assault and ain t THAT a bad look for romance before she is willing to admit that the feelings are mutual Honestly a few sessions with a counselor could have given her some better insight and about 100 pages could likely have been dropped from the book without the story suffering at all. Companions in chainsaw chain It IS a complicated story and my hat is off to Olthoff for succeeding in telling it Half of the main characters are imprisoned in a simulation and yet the other half must find ways to interact with them Only in the earliest part of the book was it a bit confusing while the necessary reveals were being divulged After that the storylines merged beautifully. Book companions in chainsaw man Not a criticism of this book I wish we could get an appendix listing the name and nature of the various alien species I have no problem remembering that the aliens with a name like tarantula are in fact giant spider types but I wish I had an easy reference for all of the others that crop up in bit parts English Grumpy Cat FTW This is without a doubt one of the best stories in the entire series Ducky and her friends especially Alvin Simon and Theodore have a whale of a time mostly saving the day This tale deserves six stars at a minimum English Top Notch Well crafted story with characters who felt real with both their strengths and foibles Both of these characteristics only added to weave the masterful story It was a page turner that kept me gripped in its clutches to know the twists and turns. Companions in chains epub free Highly recommended English Excellent sci fi adventureBut I m not a fan of military sci fi However I love Olthoff s Salvage Bunny books and Space Hyenas series so I decided to give Companions a try Although I haven t read the prior books in this series the author did a good job of sliding in the necessary backstory The worldbuilding is excellent and the story is good albeit dark The body count which includes named likeable characters is extremely high and there is graphic violence The non humans are fascinating and the Chipmunks are freaking awesome There is humor to balance the grimness of the story and I did laugh out loud several times But a lot of characters die English Probably one of the weakest 4HU booksWhere does one start A book that went on far far too long I m unsure how this greenlighted without some portions removed. Companions in Chains epubor It was almost as if this was written towards the young adult market How many people actually found the supposed humour even funny This is meant to be a serious story of mercs being ambushed taken captive trapped in a sim mind control evil Science Guild etc Instead we get Bree who s in the Micheal Burnham from ST Discovery mold ie being able to do everything and anything The romance is awful to the Nth degree Why was it even included It adds nothing to story I just ended up disliking the stupid brothers and Bree The whole nickname nick phrased bull became annoying VERY fast Ducky little duck squishy little miss duck about ducking time Come on we re adults here not teens I skipped through all those pathetic teen romance banter and pranks. Companions in chains epub pdf Let s not even delve too deeply into the Alvin The chipmunks nonsense They were cool on the short story but now no just no this needs to end The pompous Alvin and doing anything he wants Let alone the chipmunks Ruin allowing the main villain to escape even though Ruin suspected he was than just a maintenance guy Which means there ll be yet ANOTHER book following on to this bringing back Bree her stupid boyfriend her otherwise useless friend Rebel. Companions in chainsaw repair None of the characters here were likeable except Mace He is solid dependable and not prone to rash behaviour actions without thinking Military sci fi books need to remove romance garbage it doesn t fit it doesn t work is inevitably written very poorly The characters here need to be relegated to short stories not part of the main universe and made onto must read list The 4HU has been quite hit and miss lately for what ever the reasons may be Maybe the publishers should be stricter in which authors are allowed to write for this universe English
