Great illustrations The words of this children s book are easy and spaced out making it an easy reader for some The story is cute full of cute turtles It can also be read to a child The prose are a bit sing song making them easy to read 9781779417381 What does a turtle do when he can t sleep Hide from Mommy of course In doing so the little guy traverses across colorful and lovely scenes See what kind of hiding places these turtles find A quick and fun read There s even an amusing scavenger hunt game in the end Great for kids 9781779417381 I enjoyed the hide and seek feel to this cute story This would be a good bedtime story though there are enjoyable seek games at the end of the book which would only keep them awake I also enjoyed the illustrations as well Worth the read and the games make a fun family moment. Let's Hide from momdd1998 I love seeing stories set and styled in different cultures offered in English and to the North American market The name Krishna of course comes from a Hindu deity and the artwork shows gorgeous South Asian designs and colours Very cute book for anyone trying to put their kids to bed and any kid who tries not to go to bed 9781779417381 I never wanted to go to bed when I was a youngster To be honest I still don t I m a night owl at heart That said I found this children s story about avoiding bedtime to be such a delight. Let's Hide from mombo's Let s Hide From Mom is the fun sequel to author Parimalasri Docktor s children s book Tortoise Goes to the Vet It features Radha an Indian Star Tortoise who like many young children doesn t want to go to bed at her established time Along with her tortoise companion Krishna she scrambles to hide from Mom when she comes to put them to bed. Let's Hide from mombo Radha is a precocious little tortoise who knows all the best hiding places She also tries to coach Krishna in finding the perfect spot Small children will love hearing about how they escape detection maybe seeing themselves in Radha s desire to stay up past bedtime. Let's Hide from momentum The author also illustrates the story and uses bright colors in her often intricately detailed scenes Her style gives readers plenty to look at and discover on each page At the end of the book there is an entertaining section devoted to finding specific items hidden in plain sight such as birds butterflies and insects That bumblebee is a tricky one I recommend LET S HIDE FROM MOM to young readers and adults for reading aloud. Let's Hide from momjunction period This particular story focuses on two tortoises Radha and Krishna as they embark on an adventure hiding in various places around their home Will they be able to successfully hide from mom and stay up all night While this book does play on fun silly bedtime antics there is much scratching at the surface I appreciated the author featuring a sleep disorder story line and in a light unique approach Sleep disorders not only affect adults but also children and pets While many children often don t want to go to sleep for some it s can t This book is sure to connect with young readers and their families as we ve all at one point or another tried to get away with staying up past bedtime Children will also love this book s fun bold bright colored illustrations and learning about these fascinating creatures and real life character inspirations. Let's Hide from mombo I also enjoyed that the author provided a photo of the real Radha and Krishna at the end of the book In addition the author included two fun bonus games a scavenger hunt type game and a Where s Waldo type game that can all be played on the last few pages of the book and for likely during those non bedtime storytime readings. Let's Hide from mombo This book is listed as the sequel to Parimalasri Docktor s children s book Tortoise Goes to the Vet Radha I have not read it so I can t say for certain if it is essential to understanding Book Two Let s Hide from Mom While I did not feel lost or confused while reading Book Two without having read Book One I imagine I would have had a stronger insight into Radha as she is the main character in both of the these books However this was not my first encounter with Parimalasri Docktor In November 2022 I hosted read and reviewed her first book Where is He Tank the Tortoise Surprisingly enough Tank s cave is mentioned in Let s Hide from Mom as one of hiding places So in my opinion I think all three books can be read or not all read in any order without any confusion or spoilers. Let's Hide from momco All in all I really enjoyed reading this book and would absolutely recommend it I think all young readers and their families will like this book too So add it to your TBR List and get to reading you won t be disappointed Disclaimer I received a complimentary copy of this book and have voluntarily provided an honest and unbiased review in accordance with FTC regulations 9781779417381 Let s Hide From Mom is a charming true story about Radha a little turtle who has trouble going to sleep Every night she finds different places to hide because she doesn t want to go to bed Her brother Krishna tries to join in her game but ends up falling asleep in a corner Mom tries her best to calm Radha down each night by giving her a small treat a piece of cucumber Radha eventually learns that when the lights go out it s time to wind down and try to sleep She realizes she must learn to fall asleep on her own since Krishna can t always play with her he goes to sleep early. Let's Hide from mombo Radha is still trying to find her comfort zone She is very active and loves to play Just like humans pets also have sleeping issues or disorders that we may not be aware of until we tune into their needs. Let's Hide from momgabs This book teaches children the importance of going to sleep and ways to calm themselves before bedtime It s a cute concept presenting this lesson through young turtles who are adorable non threatening and easily relatable to children. Let's Hide from momix The book s lessons go beyond the story It promotes healthy sleep habits explains associative habits and even introduces the concept of meditation It provides practical advice for children s sleep issues. Let's Hide from momjunction menstrual Parents and caregivers will appreciate the vivid illustrations that captivate both children and adults The final chapter is a treat offering several interactive activities such as scavenger hunts which will surely bring joy and learning to the bedtime routine.
