Site_link post a comment A cursed and damaged shifter sneaks into my Fae village Following the Shifter Fae war he seeks out a Seelie Faemar healer Thallan a dark angry and sexy shifter sneaks into our village searching for the special touch of a Faemar healer His strength shows in the rippling muscles but he is a shifter and I am a Fae and I will not be swayed to help his kind When our village is destroyed he selflessly helps us to rebuild and a spark lights warmth in my heart His curse is dark My love is light The magic will take a life Cursed Shifters Redemption Paranormal Shifter Romance Avyanna s Cursed Shifters Book 1 I had a little trouble getting into this book However I did find a lot to like about the storyline and the characters I love the complexity of the characters Despite my initial lack of enthusiasm for this book I did enjoy reading it I recommend this book to all paranormal romance lovers 202 DNF 60% I couldn t force myself to finish this The writing is choppy the dialogues stiff and I just couldn t see this man redeeming himself Been there and all that happens is the heroine does some serious mental gymnastics to justify whatever the hero did because there s no redemption arc for an irredeemable asshole This guy at least felt guilty for what he did I ll give you that but still How can you forgive someone who murdered your best friend Destroying your village and accidentally killing a whole lot of people you know in the process Unless Avyanna never finds out what he did which is worst and not where this was leading for what I was reading As he visited the place where rocks buried the dead guy s body because he didn t do even that it was an earthquake started talking to him like they were friends and not once did he apologize I stopped caring So I stopped reading Anyhow there were so many inconsistencies for example Thallan tells Ryker he can t remember his past that the nightmares are all he knows but later he remembers everything And it didn t seem like he lied to Ryker it was like the author forgot he didn t know about his past That was the biggest inconsistency but there are a lot of smaller ones. Cursed shifters redemption book 1 I started this because it is about a bird of prey shifter to complete a challenge but I m pretty sure there are way better options out there 202 Thallan and Avyanna s story is a second and third chance paranormal romance with a lot of back story and morally grey characters A very heartwarming touching story complete with the heartfelt sigh at the end and one I highly recommend reading The storyline was full of drama steamy romance and action in a second chance enemy to lover romance story A wonderful storyline that provides strong complex characters searching for forgiveness and redemption I can t wait to read from this author 202 Set aside a day for this lovely second chance paranormal fae restoration redemption romance set mainly in the fae human village of Elmswood where Thallan Drogo of Croydon seeks help from the Fae Mar healer Avyanna.
