E Bouvier for letting me be a ARC reader again Apologies for the late review I was in a severe reading slump But this novella to when gods fall really helped get me out of it This book was amazing and I ve never seen a novella written this way before considering you can read this before you have read when gods fall as this gives you a back story insight to all the main characters into there pasts which I really loved It was interesting and you got a bit of insight into some of the back characters that are mentioned in when gods fall aswell I love this authors writing and I cannot wait for the release of book 2 I need to know I also enjoyed how this was split up into short story s and I found it worked really well and gave you a opportunity to connect with the characters and have a focus on them too as I find that can get missed when multiple characters are mentioned or spoken about within one chapter If you love short stories.

I USUALLY don t love novellas because they don t typically have enough character growth for me but THIS This is a novella about the characters I have already watched grow and this is a little glimpse into their pasts I adored this novella and was so happy to hang out with these characters again This is a perfect read for both those who are thinking about grabbing the first novel AND those who have already read it Bouvier is such a phenomenal writer and I adore these characters SO much Especially Nik Pick this one up asap Thank you to booksirens and the author for the copy This is an honest review Stolen Fates The Gifts of the Gods.

Book Stolen fates collide 5 Stolen Fates is a nice little prequel novella following three short stories set before the events of When Gods Fall as told from the POV of four of the main characters It was a super quick read and I enjoyed it I think Katell and Alena s story was my favorite We saw glimpses of that particular story in When Gods Fall but being able to read in depth about an event that really shaped Katell as a person was interesting It offers perspective into some of her actions in the main story It was also great to get a glimpse of Nik s story prior to the events of WGF and to see how he ended up in the position were first introduced to him in And of course we can t forget my sweet baby Leukos I loved his character in WGF so it s really no surprise that I loved him in Stolen Fates as well Stolen Fates is a great sampler for the world of the The Gift of the Gods series This series is epic fantasy meaning there is a ton of worldbuilding which is something I personally really enjoy I look forward to the next book and can t wait to see where these characters end up Thank you S. Book Stolen fates 5 I ve never personally seen a prequel novella done like this before Where its a true low stakes prequel that you can read prior to the first book or if you ve read all or part of the series you can go back and spend a bit time with your favorite Characters I m use to prequels that you need to read many books into the series that exist to clarify or explain something not made clear in the main story I ve never read this series or anything by SE Bouvier and I felt like this was the perfect short little treat to introduce me to some characters personalities the politics of the world and the magic This is than what a synopsis would give me but it took me under 2 hours to read so not a huge time commitment into a world that I didn t know anything about While this isn t much on its own it sold me I m so interested in the politics of this world I instantly picked up When Gods Fall.
