Making her the perfect person to help her new friends with the malevolent spirits in their small haunted town Great worldbuilding with a compelling protagonist I m hoping this is a series starter because this awesome intro makes me crave Chaos Kindle Edition This is a shorter but absolutely great novella about a young woman with certain abilities named Chaos Chaos is a wanderer for the most part She s trying to escape her past we ll find out why later in the book and she has ghosts that follow her around They don t say anything or try to harm her but their presence is unsettling at times When Chaos randomly chooses a small town in California to try and make a new start.

For Chaos ghosts have always been part of the scenery like birds or old buildings as long as she didn t get too close they were nothing to worry about That is until recently With a mysterious spectral trumpet player stalking her across the country Chaos winds up in Carver California an old railroad town with than its fair share of hauntings making it the last place she wants to be stuck With her ghostly entourage growing and her new friends threatened by a malevolent force from Carver s twisted past Chaos must face its demons To save Carver s lost souls not to mention her own skin she ll go toe to toe against a raging matriarch a vengeful pig a sadistic cowboy and a pack of possessed dogs drawing on what she knows of the town s history to pit its ghosts against each other in a final spiritual showdown. Introduction to chaos theory Can one woman slay a town brimming with the supernatural or will she become just another piece of the local phantasmagoric puzzle Intro to ChaosThis was an interesting paranormal story Reminded me a lot the movie ParaNorman Chaos our lead is followed around by a myriad of spirits all with their own quirks as she wanders around eventually coming into a town that has a dark history I couldn t understand if Chaos was actually a human or some other type of entity as she had died at least a few times throughout A little further clarification would have helped me along The story also moved pretty quick and it was hard for me to keep track of all the characters that were introduced at times So I wished that the pacing was slowed a bit and certain concepts were given additional time to simmer with the reader But overall it was a fun experience and I look forward to seeing Tonya Walter s other offerings Kindle Edition Chaos sees dead people she s going to find out it wasn t such a good idea This town is very haunted and has a violent bloody past And as someone who has died a few times and has seen what purgatory looks like she soon finds herself just wanting to leave and not look back She meets some people who take her in for a while and they re all going to get caught up in the evil that pervades this town. Intro to chaosmyth This story is well written has an engaging narrative that keeps your attention and Chaos is a great character I had fun getting to know about her as the story progressed and I only hope we get in the future I definitely recommend this novella Thank you to the author for the ARC This review is voluntary and is my own personal opinion Kindle Edition I need Chaos Into to Chaos Rewind or Die 39 from Unnerving Books is a rollicking fast paced horror novella and I enjoyed it immensely Our heroine Kay aka Chaos her given name can see ghosts and even has died a few times traveling to Purgatory and back She s followed around by Dinah a teenage ghost who blows a trumpet whenever there s danger afoot Young and adrift Chaos leaves New Orleans for California eventually ending up in Fells Rouge a town full to the gills with mad and homicidal ghosts There she finds new friends and attempts to solve the gruesome mystery of the town Kay is an awesome character and I can see this easily turning into a series And there s also a ghost pig named Helen of Troy A great read highly recommended Kindle Edition This book is a quick and fun read in which we meet Chaos a young woman who can see ghosts and has died and returned several times She is travelling on her own other than the ghost girl she can t seem to shake across the country and ends up in what is practically a ghost town occupied by a few remaining people and many resident ghosts Chaos meets some new friends in the town gets wrapped up in the dark history missing people and evil ghostly problems that only she can resolve before moving on in her journey This story was a great introduction to the character Chaos and I can see her going on new adventures in future books Kindle Edition
