While this collection is a slight improvement from Kat s previous work Thumbsucker is still very cringeworthy at best There seems to be a lack of maturity throughout Thumbsucker and the pieces that incapsulate the theme of attention seeking will make your eyeballs squirm and not in a good way It s now very clear why the official book release occurred during a Zoom event not in person and there wasn t a headlining tour planned to promote this collection I do hope that Kat s work will eventually mature and that the world isn t subjected to any sophomoric poems 100 felt a bit too REMEMBER when i was sad glad it s in the past for my tastes as a perpetual Sad Lonely Girl 100 4.
