Bleeding Sun booking C Habib is your author This is my second read by this author and I know for sure he is another auto buy for me The ability to convey so much in short dialogues between the characters is unbelievable He is able to set the atmosphere so well only using the characters dynamics and I really love that This is a short story that delves into Andrew s background one of the protagonists of Under the Vile Moon I d suggest starting with that one if you want to savour this one fully but it can be read as a standalone as well I was comforted by the feeling of coming back to a familiar space when reading Bleeding Sun and I could re immerse myself in this world and atmosphere like I never left Once again the dialogues are perfect and so is the timing and it really feels like watching a film But it also makes you feel and the emotions surfacing are as vile and raw as the tale The characters should inspire hatred and antipathy but they don t and this is down to the author s skills To portray such a brutal story and likewise persons but to elicit opposite emotions If you haven t already run to get both copies what are you waiting for Meanwhile I can t wait for the next book in The Vile Series Thanks to the author for a copy and this is my honest opinion Fiction Horror Thriller This packed a punch gut wrenching and violent I loved it Short sweet to the point I cannot wait to get my hands on by this author Fiction Horror Thriller Visceral but lacked refinementThis story lacked the finesse of the main novel dipping into absurd territory than I expected It may still be a gem for splatterpunk fans but it wasn t for me Fiction Horror Thriller
