Shooting Star lovey howell Ruby always felt like an outsider so she is surprised to find that she is easily accepted in Wishing Well by many of the residents especially the ladies she went to school with and who were in previous books I also enjoyed the friendship that grew between Ruby and Taylor the baby mama of Kane s daughter but when they finally gave in it was amazing They are perfect for each other and I loved how Kane supported Ruby and how the other residents of Wishing Well rallied around Ruby and supported her and loved her for who she was and not just for how popular she is A great read from start to finish with some great small town heart Shooting Star Love Wishing Well Hometown Heart Book 2 Another great read from Melanie Shawn Ruby had a rough childhood and when she became an adult she left town and vowed to never return but after a situation that leaves her Broadway dreams gone and unemployed she has no choice but to return to town before her next career attempt Kane is best friends with Ruby s brother his entire life and when he sees Ruby now he s shocked at how attracted he is to her but he knows that nothing can ever happen because of his friendship with her brother He is a single dad looking for someone to spend forever with and he thinks Ruby is ready to never return to town again but he can t stop himself from being her knight in shining armor and saving her when she needs it especially when her job falls through I loved the bond that she developed not only with Kane s daughter but with his baby mama and grandfather as well and I love that she also starts to build a relationship with her mother after all the trauma in her past I loved this book and I cannot wait for the next book involving Kane s baby mama and Ruby s brother I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Shooting Star Love Wishing Well Hometown Heart Book 2 After Ruby had something embarrassing happen to her on Broadway then go viral then find out something about her boyfriend she goes back home to Wishing Well Kane had been one of her brother s best friends that she had a crush on since she was younger I can t imagine how she felt when he was the first one she ran into when she got back to town The poor thing had another shock at her mother s home I just love the small town as soon as something happened the whole town knew Kane had an adorable four year old daughter that was cute as a button That was another interesting story that made me feel happy It was funny that Kane was interested in Ruby because she was his best friend s younger sister and he didn t think his friend would be too happy If Ruby didn t have bad luck then she wouldn t have had any luck But sometimes what seems terrible comes out for the best When Ruby s new job is cancelled Kane has a job for her to stay at his house to take care of his daughter and grandpa as he had to work nights I loved watching Ruby and Kanye s daughter grow close and the fun things they did together This is such a heartwarming story that I strongly encourage you to read it Shooting Star Love Wishing Well Hometown Heart Book 2
