What doesn't kill you makes a fighter N Barbosa for giving me this opportunity they are amazing for taking a chance on this dyslexic reader with a small following MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS Gideon has had one hell of a week Accused of murder and forced to discover he is not entirely human he has been banished to an unknown dystopian realm Abandoned and isolated in this obscured place he struggles to just survive each moment in this horrific hellscape With dangerous creatures at every turn in this desolate inhospitable land Gideon is dragged dropped and smashed experiencing pain hunger and thirst you can almost feel through the pages After meeting a vampire he learns he is in Tartarus surprisingly a place he will soon call his new home He must navigate through different challenges to earn his keep and stay alive However his ultimate goal is to leave this horrific reality and return home to his sister He creates new friendships and new romance in a place which at first seems to lack any This novel is action packed dark violent and gritty full of a diverse cast of characters Barbosas usage of linguistic diversity of French and Spanish is inserted seamlessly in the dialogue creating an unique and engrossing story for the reader They creates an amazing queer normative universe and allows the reader to peer into a world where such relationships and feelings are normalized.
