Wow I didn t know what to expect when I started reading it I ve been following Erica and her book for a while now and I knew I wanted to read it This book was so different from anything I ve read lately It s full of twists and surprises and it s never predictable Peia is a really strong willed character I loved the friendships she had and how they supported her The world building in this book was really well done and descriptive After that cliffhanger I can t wait for the next book It is said that in every soul dwells a mated pair of wolves One clouded in darkness the other shrouded in light The mates are said to be in constant combat with one another dueling for mastery over the soul You were wrong before Peia when you said I couldn t stand the sight of you The warmth of your laugh rivals that of the sun I ve never heard a reassuring sound 366 4 1 2 I dove into the book and couldn t put it down Gives ToG vibes which is always a plus Gotta love a stabby FMC. Path of ruin kindle paperwhite I appreciated the flashbacks due to the fact that it helped understand the world building and for us to get to know the characters better This was of a closed door romance which I did not mind at all When there s so much action and great suspense the spice isn t needed I normally can figure out twists in books but was not seeing that coming in relation to Peia I will be stalking Erica s account for book 2 sisters_reading 366 I absolutely loved this book and could not put it down Hypatia the FMC is resilient witty and strong inside and out She sacrifices so much of herself to become an elite warrior to protect her sister She endures many trials throughout the book and I felt it all deeply due to the detailed writing The MMCs in this book are amazing They support Peia rooting for her and watching her back throughout her trials The ending of this book has me immediately wanting as it ends on a massive cliffhanger I can t say without spoilers so I ll end with this if you like strong FMC fast paced plot with tons of action world building and plot twists then I highly recommend this book If I could give it stars I absolutely would I cannot wait to see what comes next for Peia 366 Having lost her family during a vicious attack nineteen year old Peia must make the ultimate sacrifice To save the life of her young sister she agrees to become a soldier and kill for the vicious Beta Jakobian How far is Peia willing to go to save the one she loves most My Grade B Full of Greek mythos a strong FMC bloody battles and luscious descriptions Path of Ruinabsolutely blew me away The book does have a slow build up with a lot of lore information but once it get s going I couldn t stop reading The story does end on a cliffhanger and I can t wait to see what happens next Spice Level out of 5. God of ruin epub She trains under her CO Roman Jakobians son And the chemistry between these two is HUGE I kept finding myself yelling at them to just be together In the end Peia Roman and the other Dires must go to the capital for the Trek And the events that unfold keep you on your toes I love Peia She s morally grey being stuck in this position of executioner but hating herself too She s covered in tattoos one for each kill But thru all this she manages to smile and laugh and joke And I love that she can joke and swing a blade in the next second. Path of ruin book 1 I found the story to be fast paced with great world building characters development and fantastic battles which left me on the edge of my seat and reading through my fingers I was invested in characters very quickly and loved the sibling relationship depicted very early on through the flashbacks It set up my expectations for the FMC and her unyielding resilience to protect those she loves.
