Addie has had to be the responsible one while it was just her and her mom Owen has always been the funny one and the helpful one in his family They have been adversaries since high school She never thought there was much substance to Owen or that he took life very seriously He always thought she was too serious It just might be true about there being a fine line between love and hate Read to see what extenuating circumstances it will take for these two to see each other in a different way and to see just how far their relationship might go. A true small town enemies to lovers romance with heart humour and a whole lot of steam Yes please From the moment we met Owen Addie in book one I was instantly intrigued by them and excited for their story Georgia does not disappoint with this one Owen Addie have known one another most of their lives and shared a mutual dislike for one another They re complete opposites but when forced to work closer together they suddenly see each other in a different light One kiss at their high school reunion and everything changes small town hate to love he falls first co workers opposites attract cinnamon roll mmc secret relationship. Pdf the thought of you lyrics Owen is the jokester but he s so much behind the jokes and playful personality he lets everyone see He s loyal protective always there for those he cares about and a closet sweetheart Then there s Addie who is a textbook type A personality with her tote full of planners and coordinating stationary She s always been the responsible one who has plans and no time or space for anything else Until Owen brings chaos light and laughter into her life They may be complete opposites but they complimented one another so well and helped one another in so many ways The moment they actually the person in front of them beyond their old mutual dislike was a highlight for me They had such great banter their verbal sparring acting as foreplay and the chemistry and tension was pulling so tight just waiting for the snap And when it did These two were explosive together I adored the way Owen softened for Addie how he showed her he cared looked after her when she was sick and never afraid of his feelings There were so many swoon worthy moments I admired the way Addie did the work to confront her fears heal and allowed herself to accept his love and love him in return Their HEA was emotional and beautiful I enjoyed the way this book gave us their POV during the same timeline of the previous book Georgia creates a captivating complete view into this small town and the fun supportive group of friends during a pivotal time in their lives I m looking forward to what s next in Sapphire Creek 1964689015 3. Contemporary thought journal 5 Addie 28 and Owen 28 have known each other since they were in high school But she hated his guts because she didn t like his go with the flow personality and Addie likes structure and control in everything that she does They re opposites in every way and she s kind of judgmental about him thinking he s always had it easy even though he doesn t take anything seriously It also added to her annoyance that Owen briefly dated her high school bully But he said he didn t know that his gf back then used to be mean to Addie Anyway present time ten years later Owen got back permanently into their town after he had a career ending injury And now they re both working as high school teachers at their alma mater Yet despite the years let s just say that Addie can definitely hold grudges and still strongly dislike Owen He on the other hand got used to the barbs and insults from Addie and he gives as good as he gets Ngl I did struggle with the first 30% All they ever did here was argue with Addie being judgmental about Owen s tardiness in their meetings for their reunion He had valid excuses but he was also wrong by forgetting to inform them that he s going to be late or if he wouldn t make it at all But things eventually picked up when they had their first kiss and it just got better since then I did enjoy the story but Addie had a lot of issues to work through and maaan did she make me scratch my head on numerous occasions I m not saying she didn t improve because she did With the help of Owen she was finally able to step out of her comfort zone and be free spirited with him But then her insecurities at times would get the best of her and she would pick a fight just for the sake of doing it because she couldn t handle her emotions and was overwhelmed by them and by Owen s relentless pursuit of her I love the fact that sometimes she takes the initiative to be with him or that she will go out of her way to surprise him and just be spontaneous But her last act in the end really frustrated the heck out of me I thought she finally got a handle on her negative thoughts but they came crashing down and she almost ruined what they had Still I m glad she finally got her sh t together and decided to make things right in the end While the public grand gesture definitely seems like a good call for her apology I still didn t have to like it Maaan these gestures never fail to give secondhand embarrassment and full body cringe all the time And the sole reason for this rating was Owen This cinnamon roll MMC definitely carried this whole book imo He was a steady guy through and through caring thoughtful reliable patient and basically all in with Addie Had it not been for his efforts getting under her skin flirting and charms I don t think anything would happen or develop between them He s persistent I ll give him that Between the two of them Owen is way mature than Addie He s understanding of her hangups and even agreed to her suggestion of keeping what s going on between them a secret He wasn t really onboard with this plan but since he wanted her comfortable and happy he reluctantly concurred with it I guess in his mind he cares about having Addie in his life than letting other people know they re together She s all he needs and he ll do whatever she wants to make her not regret choosing him Like I said he s the reason for my rating I don t really want to compare but Owen did so much for Addie and for their relationship to work Sure the giving of an ultimatum was wrong but imo if he didn t do that Addie wouldn t pull her head out of her ass She would allow her fears to control her and lose the person for whom she has grown to care over the last few weeks Pressuring her by giving that ultimatum wasn t right but I still think it was necessary And again while I do appreciate Addie s apology it still didn t sit well with me that it was still Owen who first freaking dropped the love bomb Idk I had it my mind that Addie would do it first because after all she was trying to apologize and show how much he means to her And I think saying ILY was a monumental thing that would solidify that intention But nope it was still Owen who had to say it first Anyway I m rambling way too much All I just want to say is that it was a really good book with a dislike to love trope and the chemistry between the MCs was really good and palpable I ended up loving Owen and Addie eventually grew on me but readers have to be patient with her She really has so many issues to deal with in the book But overall it was still a solid read Book info Small town romance Grumpy h x Sunshine H Workplace romance Dislike to love Second chance ish No cheating OPD Separation days No V no info but thank f ck Owen is a relationship type of guy Surprised pregnancy epilogue HFN in a relationship and pregnant Bonus epilogue 1 yr later engaged with newborn son 1964689015 Owen and Addie has known each other for years and when they were in high school Owen seemed like the aloof jock that hung with Addie s tormenters and that left a bad taste in her mouth They are complete opposites in every way where Addie is the serious one that has to have every detail in life planned to the minute and Owen is the fun loving laid back guy that wants to be taken serious at times Addie s hatred towards Owen is intense and while I see where she was coming from because of her past where she had a life with a parent that at times was neglectful made her feel like she had to be the responsible one all the time and she still is to this day but her judgmental way towards Owen wasn t something I enjoyed She took her anger to the next level by letting it stew for years and years then always had something snarky to say no matter what and would refuse to hear him out and always on the attack when it came to Owen I did like how Owen was such a sweetheart helping others he cares about even if at times it seems his family takes advantage of that but his heart was in a good place Their banter when things start to change was fun and very hot but what I loved the most was how they showed and helped each other grow in different ways I just wish Addie hadn t been so aggressive in the beginning with her anger because it made me feel so bad for Owen and hard for me to adjust to her going forward These two opposites definitely attract in this fun story and overall I really enjoyed it 1964689015 is the second book in the Sapphire Creek series by Georgia Coffman featuring an entertaining opposites attract enemies to lovers small town romance for Owen and Addie She s the quintessential Type A personality clinging to her rules and lists trying so hard to focus on her future But now the ultimate distraction is working in the same school as the new PE teacher baseball coach her high school enemy Owen He always seems like the life of the party and his selfish nature drives her crazy when she has to cover for him She s planned their 10 year high school reunion down to the last detail but she didn t plan on the pesky sparks between her and Owen to overpower her brain Can one kiss change everything She quickly realized he wasn t at all who she thought Now she s caught between her career goals and a potential love match Is Owen worth the risk This is my first book by this author and I can t wait to read What better way to show the quirks of a small town than a high school reunion The world building was great with fun friends and interesting family relationships for both MCs I enjoyed the evolution of the enemies to loves vibe as Addie got to know the real Owen a sweet Cinnamon Roll Hero with a loving heart willing to go the extra mile for those he cares about I am always drawn to witty banter and there is plenty of that with Owen around Addie had some insecurities and emotional hangups to work through and I appreciated the relatable way she was portrayed I loved Owen and Addie together with their sweet and spicy moments I didn t have trouble enjoying the book without reading Book 1 but I m so curious about Austin and Caroline now that I can t wait to read it I received an ARC for free and am leaving this review voluntarily . The thought of you book That was the case for Georgia Coffman and her new release The Thought of You I was literally at 7% in this book which Georgia generously let me read in advance and was completely sold on Owen and Addie s story The remaining 93% only solidified my initial thoughts and I fell absolutely hard and fast for these two. Epub the thought of you free download The story follows our main characters who ve known each other since childhood as classmates and who are now teachers at the same school where they grew up They ve always been antagonistic never what you might call friends but it s clear from the start that they both feel for the other than they let on. Contemporary chinese thought What follows is a really sweet nuanced story of finding out that long held perceptions aren t always what they seem that second chances can lead to amazing results that everything you always dreamed in your heart could be standing in front of you all this time It was funny witty warm and compelling I laughed a lot at the banter between Addie and Owen I swooned repeatedly as he patiently waited for her to get her head around the idea of them I fanned my face quite a bit at their heat and I cheered for their eventual HEA. Book the thought of you lyrics I cannot wait to read from Georgia and am so glad to discover her work 1964689015
